Electronic Artist Big Wild is One to Watch

Big Wild Music

True to his name, emerging artist Big Wild lays down big anthems that are sure to fill up a room – and your ear drums. The man behind the moniker is Portland-based artist Jackson Stell, who according to Wikipedia, was making music for an advertising agency before going solo. But, these tunes are too good for your average car commercial. Now, he mixes electronic jams with indie, pop, and disco elements to create a BIG sound.

My first introduction was his song “6’s to 9’s”, which features a catchy AF lyrical hook supplied by Rationale. But, now I find myself dancing around most to his new single “Touch”, which reminds me a bit of German band The Whitest Boy Alive. Have a listen to a few recommended tracks below to see if he’s your jam!

I’m looking forward to seeing him live one day – when concerts are a thing we do again (2025 anyone?) – as he is a multi-instrumentalist who reportedly bounces between drum pads, synths, keyboards & vocals during his live sets.
