Here’s a round-up of some cool stuff I enjoyed this week in music, scenery, and space!
SCENE STEALERS
The stunning images from the Landscape Photographer of the Year competition are well worth a scroll through. I especially love the photo below of Space X exhaust plume above Sierra Nevada (taken by Brandon Yoshizawa.) Do yourself a favour and look through!
NEW TUNES
Christine & The Queens – “People, I’ve Been Sad“
That joyous day when you find one of your favourite artists has released a surprise single…that day was last Friday. More understated than her dance masterpiece “Tilted”, this song still serves up a strong offering of French/English synth-pop.
BAYNK – “Water“
Different, danceable – at times discordant. The interesting timing elements of this song combine to form an intriguing synth vibe. It’s stuck with me over the last week!
Hayden Everett – “Loud“
Dial the rainy days jams to 11 with this acoustic guitar song by Hayden Everett. Thanks, Season 1,823 of “Grey’s Anatomy” for this find!
SPACEWALKER RETURNS
Astronaut Christina Koch returned to Earth after nearly 328 days in space – the longest consecutive space flight by a woman! During her time on the Space Station, she completed six spacewalks, including the first ever all-female space walk with her best friend Jessica Meir. TOTAL. BALLER.
THE WORLD’S MOST HELPFUL BELUGA
This lady’s gonna need at least eleven bags of rice to get this iPhone situated sorted, but still cool to see the sea return such small object.
What cool stuff have you seen on the Interwebs this past week?
