From chill indie acoustic sounds to boppy synth-pop, here are a handful of tunes I’ve been enjoying lately.
“Ani Kuni” – Polo & Pan
Dance. Party. These guys are so fun, and make for a great in-person concert. They’ve scheduled a concert in Vancouver at the PNE for January 2022, and if it’s safe to do so, I highly recommend going. Either way, enjoy their cheerful bop below!
“Blessings” – Hollow Coves
Hollow Coves was the last concert I attended back in early March 2020. I had a sense then that it would one of the last people-filled events I’d have for a long time. So, being third row from the stage, with people joyfully milling about, I really took the time to appreciate the experience. Now, their newest single reconnects with me that time, and fills me with hope for a healthy, music-filled future for us all.
“True” – Slow Magic
Cruise into the sunshine with this song playing through your headphones. Perfect for dialing into the summer vibes.
“Hollow (Do You?)” – Geographer
I dig the dancey-vibe that Geographer throws out with his latest single. Sure to make you shuffle your feet or throw in a head-bop or two.
“Head On” – Jose Gonzalez
Jose Gonzalez brings it with warm, Spanish guitar layers that build-up throughout the song. Chill vibes ahead!
“Lost Cause” – Billie Eilish
I love the slick bassline prevalent throughout this song…it’s almost reminiscent of a Red Hot Chili Pepper’s track for the way it’s placed at the front of the mix.
