Last week’s best Release Radar find was from emerging indie musician, Delachute. This Montreal-based artist has a vocal sound that reminds me a bit of alt-J, paired with dreamy guitar sounds make for an incredibly pleasant listen. Not so dreamy, however, are the lyrics, which depict sinister stories about criminals in the prison system. But, I rarely “hear” lyrics, so I can stay blissfully stuck in the “This sounds nice!!” place. Although, I should have clocked when my introductory song was entitled “Caligula”…who wasn’t exactly known for being the nicest bloke.
Delachute also kindly reached out when I made a post of his newest single on my Instagram story, so I think he’d appreciate a few more fans!
